How I Learned to Beat the Winter Blues and Feel Brighter Every Day

Every year, as the days grow shorter and the light fades earlier, I used to feel my energy slipping too. I’d wake up groggy, crave comfort food, and lose motivation for even the things I normally love. The “winter blues” crept in quietly, colouring everything a little greyer.

But one year, I decided not to just accept it as inevitable. I began experimenting with small, intentional ways to lift my mood and it completely changed how I experience the colder months.

What made the biggest difference was learning how to gently shift my mindset rather than fight against it.
